One thing I love about coaching is that we get to ask such powerful questions. I do a lot of work around culture. As Chris Edmonds, author of The Culture Engine would remind us, culture is defined by our behaviours. The employees clearly demonstrated by their behaviours that speaking your truth is not allowed in this culture.

Right, David. The story is a great example of how to create a culture of fear. I can see that employee moving to a new opportunity in the future if things don’t change. The good news is that culture change is possible.
